Artsplosure 2011

Artsplosure  is an annual, very high quality, Arts and craft festival  that celebrate excellence in the performing and visual arts. The festival is held in Raleigh, North Carolina. There are artist  in and around North Carolina that come to participate, some come as far as Texas and Illinois.
As a member of the Triangle Potters Guild, my husband and I are able to, with the other members of the guild, to have a booth within the Guild tent.
This year’s festival was a big success. The weather was wonderful, although just a little warm. The attendance was great both days, and many sells were made at the guild tent.
As a guild member, we are required to work 2 hours each day in the areas of our choice. So I choose this year to work at the kids table on Saturday and on Sunday I demoed throwing on the wheel.
This year’s show was a lot more fun because my daughter Jennifer and grandchild Addie, were able to come and spend some time with us on Saturday. I wish we had more time to visit with them…. But guild duties only allowed us a few hours. Addie loved the kids events, especially the sand box.
I love doing this show…. Such wonderful  arts, crafts and music. Not to mention the great sells from the show. I will definitely be there again next year.
